Xalax or Crash 'em Racers were part of Racers in 2001. They did not feature real minifigures (Part 30598, as they were customized pieces that were shorter than 4 stacked Studs). Most sets had only 8 pieces included. Many (or all) were released with kids meals at McDonalds.
