Summary[]

At the Ninjago City History Museum, a guard is examining the exhibits, including replicas of Lord Garmadon and Master Chen, when he hears strange noises. He is then attacked by the spirit of Morro; elsewhere, the ninja team capture a large mutant fish that had been terrorizing the coast of Ninjago. Sensei Wu is then revealed to have opened a tea shop, Steep Wisdom, and a farm that is meant to provide for his eventual retirement. The Ninja are then sent to advertise the shop, except for Lloyd, who heads out in response to an alert from the museum. Upon arriving he meets the guard, who is then revealed to have been possessed by Morro, who steals the Allied Armor of Azure known for its ability to summon spirits from the Cursed Realm.

After being captured by Morro, Lloyd is possessed by him, which affects the other Ninja due to their elemental powers being linked to Lloyd's. After discovering the loss of their powers they return to the shop, only for Morro to arrive and attack them with his Mastery of Wind. Robbed of their own powers, they prove to be no match for him as he seeks to claim Wu's staff. During the struggle, it is discovered that the staff is inscribed with a secret message. The Ninja and their allies attempt to escape Morro aboard the Destiny's Bounty, at which point Wu reveals that Morro was once his pupil.
