About my Username

Readingrancor11
It is a little-known fact that rancors are semi-sentient and possess the ability to read and write. But sadly, very few know how. I advocate rancor literacy. I feel that every rancor deserves the chance to learn how to read and write. If every rancor could read, it would change the entire galaxy's outlook on the species. Rancors would go from being thought of as primitive brutes to being a fellow terrestrial species, like humans or Wookies or Rodians, or any other citizen of the galaxy. The Vurk species was thought to be primitive, but Coleman Trebor became a Jedi master...

New Acquisitions

This is where I discuss my favorite recent LEGO purchases.

"Ah, good. New acquisitions. You are hard to find minifigures , are you not?"
―based on a quote by EV-9D9

March 15, 2014

I went to a Comic and Toy Convention recently, and one of the vendors (called Scooter's Bricks) had several good minifigures for good prices. Here are some of my favorites:

Minifigures

Another vendor had some Series 3 and Series 4 minifigures. However, he wouldn't let anyone feel the packages, so I didn't know what I was getting. The only ones I got that I didn't already have were the Ice Skater and the Viking.

Other Minifigure Parts/Accessories

Other LEGO-Related Items

By far, the best LEGO-related item I got my hands on at the convention was a photo of Yoda from The Padawan Menace. What makes this one so special is that I got it autographed by Tom Kane, the voice of Yoda. He was awesome, and seemed like a really nice guy. Before I left his table, he thanked me- in his Yoda voice.

This is where I discuss things I don't like about my purchases, as well as my ideas on how to fix them (If I can fix them).

  • The hole in the Mars Mission Alien's chest is a little odd. It looks like he's been shot or something. I also wish the arms could move.
  • Riegel didn't come with the 1x1 tile on his chest, but oh, well. Not a huge problem.
  • I wish that that one vendor had let me feel the Minifigures packs. I would've ended up with better figures, and I wouldn't have gotten any that I already had.

My Favorite and Most Used Wikis

(Note that these are not necessarily in order.)

Stuff You Should Know

  • In the book "The Hobbit", Azog DIED. He should NOT have been in that movie. Please refer to Azog on the LOTR wiki. I realize that the minifigure is movie-based; this is not directed to the LEGO Group or to LEGO designers. It's not their fault the movie is messed up. Bolg, Azog's son, was in the book, however.
  • Also in "The Hobbit", there were lids on the barrels the Company used to escape the Elvenking. The Elves didn't realize that they were gone until it was too late. Because of this, Kili DID NOT get shot, and he never had any sort of relationship with Tauriel.
  • There is a template for putting a spoiler warning on pages. I searched for it, but found it rather hard to find (If it is actually really easy to find and I just wasn't looking in the right place, please tell me. See my talk page for more). So, assuming that it is rather hard for your average editor to find, for your convenience, here it is. Please note that the real one has no spaces, I just put those there so you could seee what to type.

{ { Spoiler2 |

Words Words Words

} }

So, it'll end up looking like this.

Spoiler warning: Plot or ending details follow.

This is an example of plot-giving, life-ruining text.

Spoilers end here.

There are also two other spoiler templates, but I prefer this one. The others should pop up when you begin to type the {{Spoiler thing if you want to use them.
