The Hulk, or Bruce Banner, is an upcoming minifigure for the Super Heroes theme.
Description
As Hulk is a human with distorted proportions, he is larger than a normal minifigure. Hulk has molded black shaggy hair, his face (shown in a promotional and on a statue) depicts him as being angry with his mouth open and teeth showing. He is sculpted to be extremley muscualar and only his arms and hands are moveble. Hulk's hands are designed to still be capable of holding minifigure accessories. He wears dark tan pants and has huge feet. Besides his face, legs and hair, Hulk's body is coloured green. He is extremely similiar to the Wampa, in size and in the way of grabbing things with his hands.
The Hulk is based on his appearance in The Avengers.
Background
Bruce Banner was born as the son of famous scientist David Banner. When he was a boy, his dad killed his mother in a fit of rage. This scarred Bruce forever. When his dad died, he lived with his grandmother, and then became a scientist. He reunited with his former girlfriend, Betty Ross. He was assigned to make a gamma bomb for weapon purposes. Rick Jones, a teenager, lost a bet and went onto the bombfield. When Bruce saved him, he got hit with the full blast of the bomb. From then on, whenever his adrenaline rushed and his heart pumped fast, he became an enormous, strong creature of legend. He is also part of a team called The Avengers, which also consists of Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Black Widow and Hawkeye.
Notes
- His preliminary design has his iconic purple pants, but the NY Toy Fair has them in dark tan.
