The Inquisitor, also known as The Grand Inquisitor, is a Star Wars minifigure that was introduced in 2015. Since his debut, he's been featured again in 2022.

Background

The Grand Inquisitor was a male Pau'an who formerly served as a Jedi Temple Guard. By the time Order 66 occurred, he was already known as The Grand Inquisitor. He would go on to command the Empire's Inquisitorius; a group of warriors proficient with the Dark Side of The Force.

Leading the hunt for surviving Jedi, The Grand Inquisitor would find himself impaled by Reva Sevander. Using all his might to recover, he would have revenge on the planet of Jabiim, where Reva would be defeated by Darth Vader after a duel.

In the year 4 BBY, he would be called to the planet of Lothal to hunt down Jedi Kanan Jarrus and Ezra Bridger. The Inquisitor tracked Kanan and Ezra to the reactor room of Grand Moff Tarkin's flagship, the Sovereign, which was orbiting the Mustafar System. He would incapacitate Bridger by kicking him off one of the numerous walkways. Under the impression Ezra had died, Kanan composed himself, using all his might to continue the duel. Kanan would defeat The Inquisitor by slicing his lightsaber in half, causing a small explosion and knocking him back. Despite Kanan offering mercy, The Inquisitor would willingly throw himself into the exploding ship reactor out of fear of Vader's wrath for his failure.

After his death, Darth Vader would utilize Sith Alchemy to prevent The Inquisitor's spirit from passing on from the mortal world. Instead, Vader forced The Inquisitor's spirit to serve his own purposes.

The Force-wielding Inquisitor is a skilled pilot and lightsaber duelist who is tasked by Darth Vader to hunt down and destroy fugitive Jedi. If he can put an end to a pesky group of rebels at the same time, then that’s even better.

Notes

• His minifigure comes with a new lightsaber hilt mold to reflect the one he carries in the TV series which can spin around automatically.
• He does not come with a special headdress to express his elongated head.
• His head is white, despite the fact that it is more grey in the TV Show.
• He was voiced by Jason Isaacs, who also portrayed Lucius Malfoy in Harry Potter. Isaacs also voiced both Siddeley and Leland Turbo in Cars 2.
