A Person is a civilian who appears in many Town and City sets, driving cars or boats. They have appeared occasionally in Creator sets, and also in System Bricks and More sets. There were especially many civilians in the Town theme, as Town was very much focused on Town life.
History
The person minifigure was first introduced in 1980, with the first Town sets. They featured mostly blank torsos, consisting of only a certain colour mostly. Some minor details, such as necklaces, stripes, and different coloured sleeves were featured.
Every person has a job, whether selling goods or service. Many townspeople are included with accessories to go about their business. These occupations include doctor, waiter, police, and several others.
Most civilians from Town sets all had smiley faces. Occasionally, they featured sunglasses and an aftershave. However, once City was introduced, these faces became obsolete. More emotion and detail were put into the Person figure. Such smiley faces are still used in the Modular Buildings sets and anniversary sets.
