Lucasfilm and Lucasarts are film and video game industries owned by George Lucas. They are responsible for the creation of the Star Wars and Indiana Jones franchises. In 1999 LEGO signed a contract with Lucasfilm for the creation of Star Wars themed sets, making it the first licensed non-clothing theme. In 2008, upon The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull's release, LEGO produced several waves of Indiana Jones sets. Indiana Jones lasted two years, while Star Wars continues till to this day. In 2012 Lucasfilm was bought by Walt Disney. Disney now plans to make 3 more Star Wars movies.
