We already have agreed, that watermarks from the LEGO company are not allowed here. Some users however have added a deletion tag to images with a watermark on them, which is from another website (I have just recently reverted such a case). But after reading this blog, which includes the use of watermarks, I am wondering if we should allow such watermarks, even if they are not originating from LEGO. In any way, we should clarify this in the policies. Samdo994talkcontribs 14:31, April 4, 2011 (UTC)
Well, if we don't allow watermarks from LEGO, why should we from other websites? --Cligra 16:02, April 4, 2011 (UTC)
We don't allow watermarked images from LEGO because they are (when they're watermarked) confidential images, and we get asked to remove them anyway, and this isn't with other watermarked images. But, I agree, mainly because it doesn't look great in articles to see a watermark for another site all over the images. And in most cases, other images exist anyway. Like those big MTV watermarks were eyesores. Skdhjf(Talk!) 00:11, April 5, 2011 (UTC)
