Good Articles/Manual of Style[]

Hi, I was wondering what anyone thought about an idea I've been thinking about- having a scheme on Brickipedia similar to that of Wookieepedia, where articles of a high standard are given "Good Article" status. I believe this might encourage users to help improve articles and also highlight articles we've worked into making of a better quality. Thanks, NightblazeSaber 08:03, 21 April 2009 (UTC)

That would be great. But first we should establish something like a Manual of Style and Brickipedia-specific layout guidelines. --LegOtaku 09:26, 21 April 2009 (UTC)
I completely agree with you there too- maybe it doesn't have to be as strict as Wookieepedia, but I think some kind of layout sould also be established NightblazeSaber 11:52, 21 April 2009 (UTC)
  • Some ideas on some of the points for a Manual of Style:
    • For sets:
      • Reference template
      • Set infobox
      • Main information describing set
      • Quote of description from shop.lego.com (where applicable)
      • Sources (if needed)
      • Categories (theme, set number, year released)
    • For minifigures:
      • Minifigure infobox
      • Description
      • "Appearances" section
      • Categories (theme)

Any thoughts/comments? NightblazeSaber 06:57, 24 April 2009 (UTC)

  • Also, was looking at another forum which LegOtaku asked as to what to do about sets which are the same but have been released on two separate occasions with different names and/or numbers. A decision on this should also probably be made and implemented into the Manual of Style if one is to be made NightblazeSaber 07:10, 26 April 2009 (UTC)

Great, Excatly what I do.(ALMOST)--Coupon11 20:55, 27 April 2009 (UTC)

  • To add to possible rules:
    • Must contain at least one image (where available/applicable)
    • Set prices must be in US Dollars, unless price has not yet been announced in US dollars, in which case the price displayed will be of any currency where the price has been released.
  • Also, I guess we should probably vote as to whether we should actualy have a manual of style, so voting is set up below:
  • Maybe we should also add links to the corresponding pages at the established Lego databases (Brickset, peeron, lugnet). I wrote a template for that purpose (Template:Set info lugnet peeron) Perhaps there should also be a link to the building instructions. --LegOtaku 16:53, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
