- In the image used to represent this set in the LEGO Shop, the centre wheel is placed the wrong way around, when compared to other promotional images, such as the one on the box.
- The name "Emerald Express" might be a homage to the set 10194 Emerald Night, which was another train set in the same colour, albeit bigger.
