Background[]
The Witch-King of Angmar was once a King of Numenor, and later the Lord of the Nazgúl. When Sauron gave him and eight other men Rings of Power, they grew increasingly powerful, but eventually were transformed into wraiths, called the Nazgúl or Ringwraiths. Two thousand years before the War of the Ring, he killed the last known king of Gondor, and Glorfindel prophesied that the Witch-King would not fall by the hand of man.
Recently, the Witch-king has travelled to the Great Barrow of Othrongroth where he plans to have a meeting with the Dwarven creature known to the Dourhand dwarves as Skorgrím. But a hunter from Rohan plans to put an end to that....
