Background[]
Marvel was a career tribute from District 1, along with Glimmer, the female tribute from District 1. He participated in the 74th annual Hunger Games, and placed 8th out of the 24 tributes. He, along with the other career tributes, participated in the bloodbath at the Cornucopia. He survived, and made an alliance with the other careers,' to kill the remaining tributes. He survived the tracker-jacker incident, but was killed by Katniss when he was hunting.
Death[]
Marvel set up a trap for animals but Rue, the youngest tribute, accidentally caught herself in it. Since Rue and Katniss had an alliance, Rue called out for Katniss. Marvel and Katniss heard this and rushed to the trap. Marvel speared Rue, but was also shot in the neck with an arrow, which was sent from Katniss. Marvel attempted to pull the arrow out from his neck, but drowned in his own blood. Rue also died from her wound. His training score was a 9 out of 12.
