#:*That seems like an opinion based upon your bias of which Brickipedia is better—Wikia's or Brickimedia's, which I don't believe is a valid opinion in a vote such as that. I personally believe everyone needs to abdicate monopolizing the Brickipedia project in its entirety. If one doesn't want to "stop vandals" on this Wiki solely for the purpose of wanting the self-hosted Brickimedia to succeed more, well then, he should keep it to himself. I don't think our bias in regards to preference of which Brickipedia project is better should get in the way during voting. :) (I hope this didn't sound mean! :D) {{User:Skdhjf/SigT}} 01:48, March 8, 2013 (UTC)

#::*I wouldn't really call it bias...the fact is that Brickipedia is moving and nearly every user with it. Since deleting all the content here would not be allowed by Wikia, we at least would want our beneficial editors on the real Bricki, not trying to repair up the mildewing remains of the abandoned old one. (And no, it didn't sound mean. :P) {{User:Jeyo/sig}} 02:15, March 8, 2013 (UTC)

#:::*(thanks for adding that
#
:P) Well, in a technical standpoint it would be considered a personal bias... I mean, after all, you *do* want the Brickimedia Brickipedia project to succeed far more than this one here, correct...? :P Oh no, I'm not elaborating that our "beneficial editors" should repair this one while its nearly dead and filled with all sorts of distasteful content. Notwithstanding, we shouldn't try to monopolize free content (Brickipedia's content) for the benefit of a personal preference (we want our forked wiki to succeed more than the Wikia-hosted wiki because we support the forked wiki :P). If we fork, the problems here wouldn't be of any hurt to us, correct? Then why to make sure it "gets a lot of vandalism"? For monopolization purposes...?... (and okay, thank you). {{User:Skdhjf/SigT}} 02:32, March 8, 2013 (UTC)

#If you're moving with the rest of us to the new wiki which I'm sure you are, post this again there. There's no point giving out admin powers to people a week before we move. -{{User:King of Nynrah/sig1}} 00:56, March 8, 2013 (UTC)

Requests: Chat Moderator - Administrator - Bureaucrat - Rollback and Patroller

This is Brickipedia's requests for adminship page, on which any user may request administrator rights. Administrators have many technical abilities that are used for the maintenance and upkeep of Brickipedia, and a full list of all of the user rights that they have access to can be found at Special:ListGroupRights.

While being an administrator may seem "fun" or "cool", you should consider whether or not you actually have a use for sysop rights before filing a request. Administrators should be active users on Brickipedia with a few thousand contributions who have a good understanding of policies and community discussions here. While being an administrator is not a big deal, it is a significant time commitment, and takes a lot of work. If you are considering nominating yourself for adminship, please read through the checklist to make sure that you meet the criteria.

To file a request, place the following code under the "current requests" header, above any existing requests.

There is an archive here for adminship requests.

Replace this with a brief blurb about why you are requesting adminship here. ~~~~

Requests made on this page are a vote, meaning that if they achieve at least 80% support then they will be closed as successful. Opposers must provide reasons for opposing. All request will last a minimum of two weeks.

If a user has been nominated for adminship before, add 2 to the end of the topic header. For users with multiple requests, add the respective number of the request. It is also considered good practice to link to previous requests for rights when nominating a user.

No it's not April Fools. But I'll be on both wikis, mainly the new one. Someone will need to moderate chat and stop the vandals. The admins will be inactive and out of the people who will be here, I think I would be a good candidate. I don't have much to say. But I think it would be good to have some holy santos brought to the wiki...to guard the recent edits and to bring us good luck. El Santo Niño de Atocha is a good one. My Aunt Concha has seen him.

This is not for the new wiki, just for this one. And...and I'd like to see more of that. If you vote for me, all of your wildest dreams will come true. Thank you.

Support

  1. As one of our most-active editors, I'm sure he can handle it. I'd even support if he wanted the rights transferred. :P -- BrickfilmNut Productions!

Oppose

  1. I don't think I can support this. I don't think he's quite ready. He hasn't been on that much lately (or at least from what I've seen) I say maybe wait another few months. EDIT: Isn't there supposed to be a neutral thing?--LEGO2013Helper (talk) 22:35, March 7, 2013 (UTC)
  2. Stopping vandals on this wiki is the last thing we want when we leave. If you were incredibly incompetent, I might support this, though. So take it as a compliment that I'm not; we don't want any competition from the old wiki once we move. :P

    • That seems like an opinion based upon your bias of which Brickipedia is better—Wikia's or Brickimedia's, which I don't believe is a valid opinion in a vote such as that. 1. Am I that influential? I wouldn't support this on the new wiki either, honestly.
(facepalm) I thought Berry said what Jeyo said.
