I was trying to bring Inventory:Lloyd Garmadon up to date earlier today when I ran into a snag: 1 variant we have images for - the Gold Ninja variant - has not been released, so we don't have images of the parts that make it up. I suggest we introduce a template that says something along the lines of, "This inventory has documented minifigure variations that have not yet been released, and as such is complete only to the degree of the released variations." Maybe someone else can word that a bit better, but I believe to have c2 inventories of figures that have future variations, we need a template like that. Tell me what you think of this. This inventory has documented minifigure variations that have not yet been released, and as such is complete only to the degree of the released variations. The content may change as the release approaches and more information becomes available. Content that will need to be updated:
Sure. I really don't think this needs a discussion, it should be fine to just put it in as a template now. (I would do it, but I don't know what it should be called). Might be a bit misleading since it's only for inventories. But, maybe we could use it for minifigures as well, which we know about to have variants to be released in the future but we don't know the full details? (like Clone Trooper, we don't know about the 2013 Episode II heads or back printing). Then we could use {{FutureUpdate|inv}} or {{FutureUpdate|minifigure}}, and the text would change accordingly? Did it a bit differently- if it detects that it's in the inventory namespace, it'll have the message it had before, otherwise it will say stuff about future minifigures (to be used at the top of minifigure articles), so no need to put in parameters. NightblazeSaber 22:17, November 21, 2012 (UTC)
