Ariana Dumbledore is a Harry Potter minifigure. She appears in the video game LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7.

History[]

Ariana is the sister of Albus Dumbledore and Aberforth Dumbledore who was left in fragile health as the result of a life-scarring experience as a child. Care of her eventually fell to her oldest brother, but tragedy soon struck the family yet again in the form of Gellert Grindelwald. An argument broke out between him and the Dumbledore brothers when Aberforth recognized Grindelwald's evil nature but Albus refused to do so, and the resulting duel saw one of them fire off a spell that ended up killing Ariana. Aberforth later hung a portrait of her in his tavern, the Hog's Head, though he and Albus were not known to have spoken again.

Video Game Appearances[]

Notes[]

  • The Harry Potter spinoff film series Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them-starring Newt Scamander-later introduced the concept of Obscurials, wizards or witches who developed powerful latent abilities as the result of traumatic experiences; many fans suspect that Ariana was one such Obscurial.
