The Y-Wing was once Republic bomber. After the Clone Wars many were decommissioned and sent to Imperial scrap yards to be dismantled while others were stolen by the Rebel Alliance. The Rebels had to strip down the armor due to its unreliability and it soon became the main Alliance starfighter until the introduction of the superior X-Wing.
This is the most accurate System rendition of the Y-Wing to date with improved "greebling," more accurate colors, and a brand new printed cockpit piece that more accurately represents a Y-Wing cockpit than the formerly used X-Wing print and bearing resemblance to the stickers used on the 10134 cockpit.
The rebel Pilot included in this set is the same as the U-Wing Pilot.
