75014 Battle of Hoth is a Classic Star Wars set released in 2013. It is a Toys"R"Us exclusive in the US.

Description

The set consists of three main parts, which are Luke Skywalker's Rebel Snowspeeder, a small P-Tower Turret on a small baseplate with a command post on the side, and another part which consists of three baseplates. The set also includes a Imperial speeder and a small turret. It contains 6 minifigures, a Tauntaun and an Imperial Probe Droid.

The Minifigures

The Minifigures include Luke Skywalker in his pilot version, General Rieekan, two Hoth Rebel Troopers and two Snowtroopers.

The Snowspeeder

The Snowspeeder has a design similar to the one from 8089 Hoth Wampa Cave, but with small differences. Some of them are that the orange details are replaced by grey ones. It has a turret on both sides, and a cockpit, which Luke can fit in with his lightsaber. There is a small Alien Conquest gun with binoculars attached to it on the back of the Snowspeeder.

The P-Tower Turret

The P-Tower Turret is entirely light bluish grey and dark bluish grey and can rotate. Next to it, is a small command post where General Rieekan can sit. The antenna is made by using a fencing foil.

The Other Part

The other part consists of three small baseplates, each one with different accessories. The first one has a small box and another small accessory, the second one has a pickaxe and a shovel, and the third one has a small rotatable turret.

The speeder and turret

The speeder is the same as in the set 8084 Snowtrooper Battle Pack. A Snowtrooper can easily fit in it. The turret is the same as the one in 7749 Echo Base. It has a small whip which connects it to a small 2x2 section.

Background

The Battle of Hoth was a major victory for the Galactic Empire and the single worst battlefield defeat suffered by the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Galactic Civil War. The battle was an Imperial invasion aimed at destroying the Rebel Alliance's Echo Base hidden on the remote ice world Hoth. The base's location was compromised when a Imperial Probe Droid deployed by Darth Vader landed on Hoth. As the Rebels had been trapped, they suffered huge losses, including most personnel, most defenses including the base, most infantry, some starfighters, and over half of the transports. However, some of the Rebels managed to escape.

-Battle of Hoth is based off of the Star Wars battle of the same name. The set is made up of many different parts. First off is an Imperial Hoth speeder bike with white being its primary color. Next piece is an Imperial Ion Cannon that is of the same design as its predecessor in 7749 Echo Base. The set includes an Imperial Probe Droid that is updated from the one in 7666 Hoth Rebel Base with a clear stand and base. The Rebel trench included is made up of three segments: the middle being the trench walkway with clips to store a shovel, a pickaxe, and a blaster rifle, the left being a area with a box that contains a hot dog, and the right being a turret gun station (the turret can be aimed) that a Rebel trooper can man. These sections are on clips that allow them to swivel into the position you choose. The next part is a Rebel trench that is built upon a triangular base plate. The large Rebel turret is on an elevated base plate with a empty box with a trans-clear mug on top of it. The turret has a fire flick on it. Next to the turret is the command center with a view screen with a radar on it (stickered) and a chair. The central part of the set is Luke's T-47 Snowspeeder. The snowspeeder is very similar to previous incarnations, with less orange accents to further match Luke's ship. It has stickers on flaps and swiveling turrets. The cockpit has room for Dak, who is not included in the set, and has a view screen of an AT-AT. The most important feature of the snowspeeder is the tow cabel that can be used by turning a gear. The final piece is a Tauntaun with an attached harness.
- This set contains 6 minifigures, not including the probe droid or the Tauntaun. Luke Skywalker is a new rendition of the classic pilot Luke in his orange flightsuit with a new double-sided face print and leg printing. His accessory is his blue lightsaber. General Reeikan is a brand-new, exclusive minifigure with a dark tan torso and legs (no leg printing). He includes dark grey side swept hair and a single-sided face that is the same as Admiral Piett's (he comes with a Rebel helmet as well). There are two rebel troopers included with the same torso print, non-printed legs, a white backpack, and Rebel helmets with goggles. One has the smirking face, and the other has a smiling face with stubble. There are two snowtroopers that have a new torso print with backprinting that is covered by there helmet's backpacks. They have the same face print as 2012's stormtrooper, scout trooper, and sandtrooper. They are currently exclusive to this set due to there new torso.
