6982 Explorien Starship is an Exploriens set released in 1996. It consists of a large starship, and a small rover with robot arms. The minifigures included are three Explorien astronauts and one robot.
Description
The ship consists of two separable sections: The front section with compartments for each crew member and a large antenna on its roof, and the aft section that housed a cylinder shaped antenna, similar to one in 6856 Planetary Decoder, under a hinged canopy and had the rover docked to its aft. The rocket engines at the aft section's wingtips could be detached. In the front of the ship is a control room, with a large computer and 3 cockpits. Attached to it is a long section at the end of which are two scanners and a magnet. Further back is a large thruster array. On top of it is a giant laser, along with two sections which cover it, each having 2 lasers. At the end of the wings in the back are another set of lasers and thrusters. On top of the front section is a large solar-panel array. In addition to the starship is a small land vehicle. It has a magnet arm and a claw arm, along with multiple lasers. The vehicle can attach to the back of the ship.
Behind the cockpit, under the big antenna, was a small room that housed a viewscreen with a hologram sticker.
