6950 Mobile Rocket Transport is a Classic Space set designed by Niels Milan Pedersen[1] and released in 1982. It contains a large transporter-erector launcher with a rocket and two Yellow Classic Spaceman minifigures.

Details[]

The vehicle is composed of a large platform on two four-wheeled undercarriages of which the rearmost could be rotated to make the vehicle steerable. On the aft of the transporter was an articulated crane on which the rocket was mounted. The rocket itself was held in place by a small platform with hinged bricks that wrapped around the fuselage of the missile, and had a dish antenna on its top. On the front of the vehicle was a recess that contained the driver's cabin and the control centre.

Notes[]

  • This is one of two sets in which Part 4228 is trans yellow.
  • The rocket had a detachable satellite/probe mounted on its tip.
  • This is one of three sets in which Part 3010p04 is Grey.
